Repairs

Why Is My Exhaust Loud, Smoky or Rattling?

4 min read

A sudden roar usually means a blown section or a failed joint. A rattle over bumps is often just a broken mount or a loose heat shield — cheap to fix if it is caught early.

Smoke tells its own story: blue means oil, white usually means coolant or condensation, black means too much fuel. Any of those deserve a proper look.

Book a free exhaust check on our exhaust repairs page and we will get the car on the ramp.

We fit sections rather than whole systems wherever it is safe to do so, which keeps the bill down.
